Bhopal: In the Kolar area, a tragic incident unfolded late Tuesday night when a son interrupted his father, who had come home intoxicated. The father, 50-year-old Shivram Shivgharge, became angry and verbally abusive when his son attempted to convince him to stop drinking. Upset by the confrontation, the son left the house, but upon returning, he discovered his father had hanged himself.
Shivram, a resident of Kanhakunj, worked at a furniture shop and also served as a watchman in the colony. He had four daughters and one son, with three of the daughters already married. Just two days prior to the incident, his wife had traveled to Khandwa with one of their daughters to visit a relative.
According to Kolar Police Station Sub-Inspector Jogendra Negi, Shivram had a history of alcohol addiction and was known to return home drunk almost daily. On the night of the incident, after a severe scolding from his father, the son left the house. When he returned around 11:30 p.m., he found Shivram hanging from a noose.
The son took immediate action, removing his father from the noose and rushing him to the hospital, where he was declared dead. The police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding this tragic event.
