Bhopal: In a bid to enhance farmers’ income and accelerate development in the agricultural sector, the Madhya Pradesh government is set to organize farmer fairs across all divisions of the state. These fairs aim to connect farmers with the latest in agriculture, food processing, horticulture, livestock management, and innovative technologies.
The first fair in this series will be held on May 3 in Mandsaur (Ujjain division). The events will feature exhibitions, technical sessions, information about government schemes, and platforms for addressing farmers’ concerns.
One of the key highlights of these fairs will be the state government’s target to install 10 lakh solar pumps over the next year. This initiative aims to provide farmers with affordable, sustainable energy. A state-wide campaign will be launched to encourage farmers to apply for these solar pumps.
Additionally, a state-level farmer fair is scheduled for October, where the state’s major agricultural achievements, technologies, and innovations will be showcased. The government also plans to integrate various agricultural schemes under the Madhya Pradesh Krishak Kalyan Mission, creating a unified platform to enhance farmers’ welfare and provide them with the resources and knowledge they need for sustainable growth.
