Farhan Akhtar’s film ‘120 Bahadur’ was shot in minus 10 degree temperature

Mumbai, July 29 (UNI) In a cinematic endeavour as courageous as the story it seeks to tell, Bollywood actor-filmmaker Farhan Akhtar’s upcoming film “120 Bahadur” was shot under brutal sub-zero temperatures in the daunting of Ladakh.

Inspired by the life of Param Vir Chakra awardee Major Shaitan Singh Bhati (PVC), 120 Bravehearts brings to life the heroic Battle of Rejang La fought in1962. The film revisits the heroic stand of 120 Indian soldiers, who, against insurmountable odds, held their ground against a numerically superior Chinese adversary. Their courage and sacrifice became a symbol of unyeilding patriotism.

“The team shot at around 14,000 feet in Ladakh, and temperatures often dipped to minus 5, even minus 10 degrees on some days,” revealed an industry source. “The aim was to honour the story with honesty, and Farhan really went all in — physically, mentally, emotionally.”

Farhan Akhtar, who plays Major Shaitan Singh Bhati (PVC) in the film, completely transformed himself for the role, undergoing military style training and special preparations to acclimatise himself in high altitudes.

Directed by Razneesh ‘Razy’ Ghai, the film is produced by Ritesh Sidhwani, Farhan Akhtar (Excel Entertainment) and Amit Chandra (Trigger Happy Studios). “120 Bahadur” is slated for a theatrical release in cinemas on November 21, 2025.
