New Delhi, Aug 26 (UNI) The Aam Aadmi Party on Tuesday hit- out at the BJP and central government over the Enforcement Directorate (ED) searches at AAP’s Delhi unit chief Saurabh Bharadwaj’s residence, with Arvind Kejriwal and other senior leaders declaring the case as fake.
The leaders claimed that action taken by the ED against Bharadwaj is based on a fabricated case, and is just another example of the misuse of the probe agencies.
AAP chief Kejriwal, in a post on X, stated, “The ED raid at Saurabh Bhardwaj’s house is another case of the Modi government misusing agencies. The way AAP is being targeted has never been done to any party in history,” AAP chief claimed.
He further stated that, “AAP is being targeted because it is the most vocal voice against the Modi government’s wrong policies and corrupt deeds,” adding that the party will not stop from raising its voice against wrong policies.
AAP leader Manish Sisodia claimed that the case being referred to is about 24 hospital construction projects in 2018–19, when Bharadwaj was not even a minister.
The AAP leader said that in courts of law, cases against AAP leaders are also being exposed as fake, claiming that Satyendar Jain’s case was proven false.
In a post on X, Sisodia stated, “The case cited dates back to a time when Saurabh was not a minister. This clearly proves that just like their degree is fake, so are these cases.”
