Fake calls target women Congress leaders in Madhya Pradesh

  • AICC name misused to offer false promises of party posts, use abusive language

Bhopal – Several women leaders of the Madhya Pradesh Congress have reported receiving fake phone calls in which the callers falsely claimed to represent the All India Congress Committee (AICC). These calls included offers of party positions and promotions, accompanied by offensive and inappropriate language.

According to party sources, three to four women leaders received such calls on Tuesday. They promptly reported the incidents to MP Congress in-charge Harish Chaudhary and Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) Chief Jitu Patwari. Following the complaints, the Madhya Pradesh Congress issued a public alert, urging all party members to remain vigilant.

Taking to social media platform X (formerly Twitter), the MP Congress posted an important notice:

“Important Alert: We have received information that certain anti-social elements are making obscene and misleading calls to Congress leaders and women workers in Madhya Pradesh, using the name of AICC. The numbers involved include 9352597073 and 9116359721. We urge everyone to immediately report such calls to the police. The MP Congress has also submitted a formal complaint to the Director General of Police.”

The incident has raised concerns over targeted harassment and the misuse of party identities to create confusion and intimidate leaders, especially women.
