- 16 cataract patients got new vision
Bhopal: With the blessings of Paramhans Sant Hirdaram Ji and inspiration and guidance of Sant Siddh Bhau Ji, a free eye camp was organized at Shri Ganesh Mandir in Shri Ram Colony on Mandideep Road on Sunday. The camp was inaugurated by garlanding the Portrait of Paramhans Sant Hirdaram Sahib Ji and lighting the lamp by the Samiti officials and trustees of Sewa Sadan. This camp was organized with the support of Lions Club Bhopal.
As many as 142 patients were examined in the camp, including 88 men and 54 women. During the examination, cataract was confirmed in 16 patients, who were brought to Sewa Sadan Eye Hospital and admitted. Free accommodation, fruits, milk, medicines and food were arranged for the identified patients. Their successful surgeries are performed by senior eye surgeons today. Free medicines were also distributed to other patients and their blood pressure and diabetes were also checked-up.
The main objective of the camp was to provide free eye checkup and cataract surgery facilities to needy patients. The objective of the organized camp was to increase awareness about eye health in the society and to provide eye care services to those who are unable to get proper treatment due to poorness.
On this occasion, Samiti convenor J.P. Agarwal, president A.K. Sihag, vice president Rajiv Janouria, Lion Dr. LL Sharma, KK Sharma, Sunil Upadhyay, Gajanand Kubhare, Sanjay Jain along with Sewa Sadan trustee Suresh Awatramani and his team played an active role.
