Extended visiting hours at the Tribal Museum

Bhopal – The Indira Gandhi National Tribal Museum, a prominent institution showcasing India’s anthropological and cultural heritage, has announced extended visiting hours. The museum, known for its unique exhibits on human development and tribal cultures, hosts permanent and temporary exhibitions, open-air displays, interactive activities, educational programs, and research work.
Starting April 1, 2025, visitors will be able to explore the museum’s galleries until 8 PM. The exhibitions in the museum’s intimate halls and Avriti Bhavan will be open from 12 PM to 8 PM, with entry tickets available until 7:30 PM. The open-air exhibits will remain open from 12 PM to 7 PM.
Public Relations Officer Hemant Bahadur Singh Parihar explained that the decision was made to accommodate families, women, and children, who faced difficulty visiting the museum during the summer heat. Museum Director Professor Amitabh Pandey initiated this change. The new hours will remain in effect until June 30, 2025.
The museum administration urges visitors to plan accordingly and make the most of the extended hours to enjoy its exceptional exhibitions and cultural heritage.
