Bhopal: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that the Jal Nigam and the Urban Development and Housing Department should make an action plan to ensure adequate water supply to the expanding cities. Waste water from big towns and villages should be reused on priority. It should also be ensured that waste water does not cause diseases. Public Health Engineering, Urban Development and Housing and Panchayat and Rural Development departments should work in a coordinated manner to achieve this.
Dr. Mohan Yadav was addressing the review meeting of the Public Health Engineering Department at Mantralaya here today. Public Health Engineering Minister Smt. Sampatiya Uike, Chief Secretary Smt. Veera Rana and other officials were present in the meeting. In the meeting, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav apprised himself about departmental activities and gave necessary instructions. Dr. Yadav said that continuous action should be taken at the district level to check the quality of work and materials of tap water schemes and information about the same should also be given at the state level.
