Bhopal: The Mantralaya Seva Adhikari Karamchari Sangh, along with the Madhya Pradesh Employees Forum, has announced a joint protest to press for the fulfilment of long-pending demands of secretariat staff. In a press release, union president Engineer Sudhir Nayak said the demonstration would be held on January 16, 2025, at 1.30 pm outside the main gate of Vallabh Bhavan No. 01.
The employees are demanding the grant of the fourth time-scale pay, regularisation of contingency fund workers engaged in ministerial and ministry establishments, and payment of three per cent dearness allowance. Other key demands include opposition to declaring permanent and outsourced staff as a dying cadre, allotment of higher designations with time-scale pay, and grant of third promotion pay scale to ministerial clerks.
The union is also seeking restoration of the old pension scheme, implementation of the High Court order cancelling reduced salary provisions, and pay protection benefits for Class IV employees transferred in 2012. The government has been formally informed of the protest.
