Bhopal: The nation is gearing up to celebrate Mahavir Janma Kalyanak on April 10 with immense fervor, and the Jain community in Bhopal is joining the celebrations with collective enthusiasm. Manoj Banga, President of the Panchayat Committee Trust, and Manoj RM, Secretary, announced the grand festivities in the presence of Pujya Muni Shri Praman Sagar Ji Maharaj and Pujya Muni Shri Vimal Sagar Ji Maharaj Sangh.
On Tuesday morning, Muni Shri Praman Sagar Ji Maharaj, arriving from Vardhman Nagar, was warmly welcomed by the community at Chowk Mandir, followed by a spectacular Mangal Pravesh with music, accompanied by five Muniraj and five Chullak Ji. Devotees performed Aarti and washed the feet of the Muni Sangh, marking the occasion.
Manoj RM also highlighted the celebration of the 5th Tirthankar Sumatinath Bhagwan’s birth, knowledge, and salvation festival, where rituals like Abhishek Shantidhara Poojan and Nirvana Laddu offerings were performed.
In his discourse, Muni Shri Praman Sagar Ji Maharaj emphasized the importance of not just believing in Mahavir, but truly following his teachings. He stressed that Mahavir’s messages of truth and non-violence must reach every heart, urging the community to curb emotional violence.
The celebrations will culminate with a grand religious gathering on April 10 at Ravindra Bhawan at 2 pm, graced by CM Mohan Yadav and Minister Prahlad Singh Patel, with special discourses on Lord Mahavir’s life.
