New Delhi, Aug 12 (UNI) Elon Musk has alleged that Apple is engaging in ‘antitrust violations’ and threatened the tech giant with legal action. These violations are related to the Grok chatbot owned by xAI.
xAI was founded by Elon Musk and is headquartered in the United States. The Grok model is designed by xAI to act as an AI assistant for answering questions, generating text and images, and engaging in conversations.
Elon Musk wrote a series of posts on ‘X’ and criticised Apple for antitrust violations related to Grok rankings. Musk wrote, “Apple is behaving in a manner that makes it impossible for any AI company besides OpenAI to reach #1 in the app store, which is an unequivocal antitrust violation.”
“ xAI will take immediate legal action,” Musk added.
Musk’s post also shows his insecurity over the recent arrival of GPT-5 in the market. GPT-5 seems to be the biggest rival of the xAI Grok model due to its unified or multimodal approach, strong enterprise focus, developer-friendly ecosystem, and emphasis on safety and security.
