Bhopal. In a somber series of events, an elderly man in Bhopal’s Nishatpura area tragically ended his life by hanging himself at home yesterday evening. Separately, a young man in Bairagarh died after consuming poison. Police have registered cases in both incidents and initiated investigations.
According to police, Santosh Sahu (65) of Devki Nagar hanged himself around 7:30 PM yesterday. His body was recovered and sent for post-mortem to Hamidia Hospital. The absence of a suicide note means the reasons for his drastic step remain unknown.
Meanwhile, Bairagarh police reported that Kailash Majhi (34) of Behta village consumed a poisonous substance at home on June 14th. He succumbed during treatment at Chirayu Hospital. Investigations revealed that he was distressed by an illness, leading him to take his own life.
In another incident, Aishbagh police found the body of a man, approximately 50 years old, on the railway track near Moti Nagar yesterday morning. Police determined he died after being hit by a train.
