New Delhi, Nov 27 (UNI) The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Thursday is conducting searches at 15 locations across Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, and Delhi.
The raids stem from a CBI FIR alleging that bribes were paid to National Medical Commission (NMC) officials for leaking confidential inspection details.
This leak allegedly enabled medical colleges to manipulate required parameters and obtain approvals illegally. Among the premises searched are seven medical colleges as well as properties linked to private accused individuals.
