ED and IT Intensify Clampdown on Dilip Buildcon: Conduct raids in Gwalior following action in Bhopal

Gwalior: The net tightened around prominent construction firm Dilip Buildcon (DBL) as the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and Income Tax (IT) Department expanded their sensational crackdown. Following Monday’s initial raids in Bhopal, the joint operation extended its reach to a residential property linked to the company in Gwalior’s Deendayal Nagar.

The intensified action is reportedly linked to serious allegations of tax evasion, the possession of disproportionate assets, and various financial irregularities.

Scrutiny Began in Bhopal

The investigation began earlier this week when an IT team, flown in from Amritsar, swooped down on DBL’s Bhopal headquarters in Chuna Bhatti and three other connected locations. The office premises were cordoned off by Special Armed Force (SAF) personnel as teams meticulously examined documents.

The probe focuses on alleged manipulation in share valuation, irregularities in investment trusts, and a tax evasion case connected to Punjab. Investigators seized crucial papers belonging to company owner Dilip Suryavanshi. Simultaneously, a raid was conducted on the linked firm, Arnil Technocraft Pvt. Ltd., in Pithampur, Dhar district, signalling a comprehensive financial scrutiny of the construction giant.
