Bhopal: The Green Ganesh campaign, organized by EPCO under the Environment Department, is hosting a four-day eco-friendly Ganesh idol making workshop from August 22 to 25, running daily from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Participants have shown great enthusiasm, with approximately 200 attendees joining today, bringing the total to around 750 since the workshop began.
Free clay and natural colors are provided, allowing citizens to create their own idols under the guidance of experienced sculptors. Participants are encouraged to take their handcrafted idols home, promoting a sustainable approach to the festival.
Program coordinator Rajesh Raikwar emphasized the campaign’s objectives and the importance of reducing environmental pollution. Attendees were also motivated to pledge to immerse their idols at home, furthering the eco-friendly initiative.
