ECI seeks public feedback to improve ECINet App, suggestions open till Jan 10

New Delhi, Jan 3 (UNI) In a move aimed at strengthening voter services and enhancing transparency in the electoral process, the Election Commission of India on Saturday invited citizens to share their suggestions to further improve the newly developed ECINet App. The Commission has asked users to download the app and submit feedback through the ‘Submit a Suggestion’ tab by January 10.

According to the ECI, the trial version of ECINet has already demonstrated significant improvements in the delivery of electoral services.

“The new platform enables better voter services, quicker availability of polling percentage trends, and publication of Index Cards within 72 hours of the close of polls—an exercise that earlier took several weeks or even months,” the Commission said in a press note.

The ECINet App was successfully piloted during the Bihar Assembly Elections 2025 and subsequent bye-elections, where it was used to provide real-time polling-related information and streamlined access to voter-centric services.

Encouraged by the initial response, the Commission has decided to involve citizens directly in refining the platform.

“The platform is being continually improved based on feedback from Chief Electoral Officers, District Election Officers, Electoral Registration Officers, Observers, and field officials,” the ECI said.

“Suggestions received from citizens will be carefully examined and incorporated to make ECINet more user-friendly,” the ECI further said, adding that the official launch of the platform is scheduled for later this month.

ECINet is one of the flagship digital initiatives of the Election Commission and work on the integrated platform began after its formal announcement on May 4, 2025.

Designed as a single, unified application for citizens, ECINet integrates around 40 previously separate election-related apps and websites into one interface. These include the Voter Helpline App (VHA), cVIGIL, Saksham, Polling Trends (Voter Turnout App), and Know Your Candidate (KYC), among others.

The ECINet App is available for download on both the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store. The Commission has urged citizens to actively participate by sharing constructive feedback, stating that public involvement will help further modernise and strengthen India’s electoral ecosystem.
