Rome/New Delhi, Nov 25 (UNI) External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, who is in Rome for the Outreach session of the G7 Foreign Ministers’ Meeting, met UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy during which he appreciated the momentum in the bilateral Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
In a post on X, the EAM said:
“Started the day by meeting FS @DavidLammy of UK, in Rome today.
“Appreciate the steady momentum in India UK Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
“Discussed deepening cooperation in technology, green energy, trade, mobility, as well as ongoing developments in Indo-Pacific and West Asia.”
India has been invited to participate in the Outreach session of the G7 Foreign Ministers’ Meeting in Fiuggi as a guest country.
EAM is also to meet his counterparts from Italy and other participating nations in the G7 related engagements and hold bilateral discussions during the visit.
During the visit, EAM will also participate in the 10th edition of the MED Mediterranean Dialogue in Rome, being organised by Institute for International Political Studies (ISPI) in collaboration with Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Italy.
On Sunday, EAM inaugurated the new premises of the Embassy of India in Rome.
