EAM Jaishankar meets US Secy of State Antony Blinken, Indian consul generals in US

Washington/New Delhi, Dec 27 (UNI) External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, who is in the US, held talks with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken during which they reviewed the bilateral partnership. He also held a meeting with the six Indian consul generals in the US.

In posts on X, the EAM said:

“Delighted to meet @SecBlinken yesterday evening in Washington D.C.

“Reviewed the advancement of India-US partnership over the last four years. Agreed that our cooperation has strengthened in many domains, just as our comfort levels have grown correspondingly.

“Confident that India-US relationship will serve our mutual interests as well as global good.”

On his meeting with the Indian consul generals based in New York, Chicago, San Francisco, Seattle, Houston and Atlanta, he posted:

“A productive day with team @IndianEmbassyUS and our Consul Generals based in New York, Chicago, San Francisco, Seattle, Houston and Atlanta.

“Discussed opportunities for deepening India-US partnership, focusing on technology, trade and investments. Also shared views on better serving the Indian community in the USA.”

EAM’s visit to the US and his meetings, including with US officials and with the Indian team there, comes ahead of Donald Trump’s inauguration as President of the US on January 20, when he will bring in a whole new team with him.
