- Farmers will be able to generate entry slips from their mobile
Bhopal, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that the e-Mandi scheme is being expanded to 41 B-class mandis of the state from January 1, 2025. Madhya Pradesh State Agricultural Marketing Board (Mandi Board) is expanding its important e-Mandi scheme. E-Mandi scheme is already operational in 42 mandis. Work is being done continuously in the state to make the mandis fully equipped.
With the e-Mandi scheme, farmers will be able to generate their own slips for the sale of their produce in the mandis. Mandi App will facilitate farmers. They will not have to stand in queue for selling the produce or for the entry slip. Under the e-Mandi scheme, the proceedings from entry into the mandi premises to auction, weighing and payment will be computerized. Mandis are being made hi-tech. The target has been set that from 01 April 2025, all 259 mandis should function as e-mandis.
The process will be simplified with the mobile app
The process has been simplified for the farmer through the Mandi app. Farmers have been provided the facility that they can make their entry slip themselves from their mobile before coming to the mandi. Once the entry slip is made, they will not need to give their complete data to the mandi again and again. After the entry slip is made, farmers can go directly to the auction sites on the mandi premises and auction their agricultural produce.
Auction proceedings will also be available on mobile
Farmers will also get information about the auction proceedings on mobile. Tulavati (weighing) brothers have been trained in the e-mandi scheme. They will enter the final weight of the weighing done on the Android mobile and they will not need to write any information. Also, the traders will also not need to make a payment sheet. In the e-mandi scheme, a readymade payment sheet will be displayed on the trader’s ID. The trader will only have to enter the payment made by him to the farmers.
Record of produce will be maintained in real time
With the e-Mandi scheme, the record of agricultural produce being sold by farmers in the market will be maintained in real time online. This will avoid crowding in the markets and also there will be no inconvenience. Farmer brothers will receive SMS and WhatsApp messages on their mobile after entry, contract, weighing and payment. Farmers will have the information regarding which trader has purchased their produce and at what price.
