- Visits Rani Kamlapati-Khandwa section
Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh – Pankaj Tyagi, the newly appointed Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) for the Bhopal division, conducted his first inspection of the Rani Kamalapati-Khandwa railway section today. The DRM’s “window trailing” inspection focused on the status of ongoing infrastructure projects, the progress of station redevelopment under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, and the adherence to safety protocols.
During the visit, DRM Tyagi instructed all departments to maintain “100% readiness” for safety and operations, especially in light of the monsoon season. He emphasized the need to prioritize all initiatives aimed at providing better passenger amenities.
The inspection began at Rani Kamalapati station, where Tyagi reviewed train operations and platform facilities. A detailed evaluation of the entire rail section followed, covering tracks, signaling, level crossings, and drainage systems. At Itarsi station, he specifically examined the ongoing redevelopment, crew facilities, and the Route Relay Interlocking (RRI) system. He also visited the running room to ensure that loco pilots and guards have adequate rest facilities. The DRM concluded his tour at Harda station, where he again stressed the importance of completing all redevelopment work on time and without compromising on quality.
