Drinking water supply in rural areas to be inspected

Bhopal: Panchayat, Rural Development and Labour Minister Prahlad Singh Patel, along with Minister of State Radha Singh and senior officials, conducted a comprehensive review of all schemes operated by the department. During the meeting, he directed that a campaign for testing the quality of drinking water be launched across the entire state. This campaign should be completed by February 15th. Minister Patel clarified that the government’s top priority is to ensure that the benefits of all welfare schemes reach every eligible beneficiary in a simple, transparent, and timely manner. The impact of the schemes should be clearly visible on the ground.

In the review meeting, Minister Patel emphasized the timely and effective implementation of the Developed India – Guarantee for Employment and Livelihood Mission (Rural) Bill, 2025 (G Ram Ji), and directed that all administrative, technical, and functional preparations be completed within the stipulated timeframe, in accordance with the guidelines received from the Government of India, so that employment and livelihood opportunities in rural areas can be strengthened.
