Bhopal, Under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Ajai Singh, Executive Director, AIIMS Bhopal, Dr. Ketan Mehra, eminent urologist of the institute participated in the STEPS (Sessions to Evaluate Progress in the management of urological cancers) event organized by the European Association of Urology (EAU) during the annual UroOncocon 2024 held in Budapest, Hungary.
The EAU selected 24 urologists from across the world for this prestigious event. These urologists were divided into four teams, each consisting of six participants, and were assigned different parts to discuss in a round table format with two evaluators. Institute’s representative Dr Ketan was part of a team of urologists from Ireland, France, Poland, Netherlands and India. The team focused on penile and testicular cancer.
The discussion was evaluated by two renowned experts in the field of penile and testicular cancer:
1. Dr. Ernie Parnham from Manchester, UK
2. Dr. Christian Fankhauser Lucerne, Switzerland
Both evaluators are esteemed members of the European Association of Urologists Guideline Panel.
After two hours of intense discussion, a winner was selected. AIIMS Bhopal is proud to announce that Dr Ketan was selected as the winner of this session. As a result of this recognition, he has been invited to participate as a faculty member and evaluator at UroOncocon 2025 at STEPS event.
