Double romance, double chaos in Akshay Kumar’s ‘Bhagam Bhag 2’

New Delhi, Feb 24 (UNI): The cult comedy Bhagam Bhag is set to return with a sequel nearly two decades later, with the makers promising more chaos and more romance.

According to Variety India, Bhagam Bhag 2 will feature Akshay Kumar opposite two leading ladies. The film also stars Manoj Bajpayee and Paresh Rawal in key roles.

While Meenakshi Chaudhary was already confirmed as one of the female leads, the makers have now roped in Ayesha Khan as the second heroine opposite Kumar.

Both actors will play pivotal roles in a fresh storyline built around mistaken identities, comedic confusion and escalating chaos. The female lead opposite Bajpayee is yet to be finalised.

Chaudhary is known for her performances in Guntur Kaaram, The Greatest of All Time, Lucky Bhaskar and Sankranthiki Vasthunam. Bhagam Bhag 2 will mark her Bollywood debut.

Khan has previously appeared in films such as Jaat and Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2. She recently drew attention for her dance number “Shararat” in Dhurandhar. The sequel will mark her first major Hindi film project in a prominent role, according to Variety India.

The film will be directed by Raaj Shaandilya, best known for Dream Girl. He takes over the franchise from Priyadarshan, who was not retained due to his three back-to-back film commitments with Akshay Kumar. Production on Bhagam Bhag 2 is expected to begin in the coming months.
