DK Shivakumar lauds US election process

Kalaburagi, Sep 17 (UNI) Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar on Tuesday highlighted the lessons he gleaned from the US election process during his recent private visit to the country.

Returning after a ten-day trip, Shivakumar praised the vibrant and well-organised nature of American election rallies, noting, “There is much to learn from their passion, youth involvement, and overall election strategy. I will share more on this in the future.”

Clarifying the purpose of his visit, Shivakumar stressed that it was purely personal and involved no official engagements or meetings with prominent political figures. “My visit was private, and I went with my family for personal reasons,” he told reporters.

Shivakumar also addressed speculation surrounding his meeting with former Congress President Rahul Gandhi during the trip. He asserted that he does not need permission to meet his party leader, and that the details of their conversation are confidential.

Amidst speculation about potential changes in the Chief Minister’s position due to Shivakumar’s ambitions, he remained focused on current issues.

On recent violence in Nagamangala and Mangaluru, Shivakumar assured that the government and police were taking decisive action to restore order and hold perpetrators accountable. “We are committed to addressing these incidents swiftly,” he affirmed.
