Administrative correspondent, Bhopal: After the incident of rape and then murder of a female doctor in RG Kar Medical College, Kolkata, the state government in Madhya Pradesh has also become alert. On Thursday, Chief Secretary Veera Rana held a virtual meeting with the Collector, AC along with selected top officials of the Ministry on short notice. The Collector, SP were informed about the virtual meeting just two hours in advance, so most of the collectors left their pre-scheduled programs and attended the meeting. During this, the Chief Secretary directed to compulsorily install CCTV in all the district hospitals, he advocated training the security guards deployed in the hospitals and said that this will help them to work properly during emergency situations in the hospitals.
The Chief Secretary also gave instructions to conduct security audit of hospitals regularly. He instructed to issue identity cards to the attendants coming to the hospitals, so that the movement of unauthorized people can be stopped. The Chief Secretary asked the Collector, Commissioner and senior police officers to regularly inspect the hospitals and check the security system along with the light system, clean toilets and other basic facilities. The Chief Secretary, in a high-level meeting at Mantralaya Vallabh Bhawan, conducted a district-wise virtual review of the health security system as well as various development projects and public welfare schemes.
