- CM attends annual general meeting of MP Olympic Association
Bhopal: CM Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that sports are an integral part of education. Our government has always prioritized the development of sports and players. The government will leave no stone unturned in their development. Every need will be fulfilled. We will work together under a plan with sports associations to nurture more and more sports talent from the state for national and international games.
CM said that the government will take steps towards organizing district-level Olympic Games in coordination with district-level Olympic associations. State-level Olympic Games (State Olympics) will be organized to encourage the players selected in district-level Olympic Games. The Sports Department will prepare a proper action plan for this. The government will move forward in this direction only after taking suggestions from everyone. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Madhya Pradesh Olympic Association at Samatva Bhavan (Chief Minister’s residence) on Saturday.
Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Shri Vishwas Kailash Sarang, MP Khajuraho and Vice President of MP Olympic Association Shri Vishnu Dutt Sharma, MLA and State Vice President Shri Ramesh Mendola, officials Shri Digvijay, Shri Rohini Gupta along with all other officials, members and Sports Department officials of the association were also present in the meeting.
CM said that organizing district-level and state-level Olympic games will also give a golden opportunity to the rural sports talents of the state to come forward. He said that the government will make coordinated efforts for the development of sports and playgrounds of interest to the students studying in higher education, school education, tribal affairs department, medical education, and technical education.
