Dinesh Karthik joins Sharjah Warriorz for DP World ILT20 Season 4

Sharjah, Sept 30 (UNI) The Sharjah Warriorz today announced the inclusion of Indian cricket stalwart Dinesh Karthik for Season 4 of the DP World ILT20, marking his first appearance in the tournament. Karthik replaces Sri Lanka’s Kusal Mendis in the JP Duminy-coached side.

A T20 veteran with a career spanning two decades, Karthik is known for his finishing prowess, six-hitting ability, and tactical acumen. He was part of India’s victorious squads in the 2007 T20 World Cup and 2013 ICC Champions Trophy, and played a key role as batting coach in Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s maiden IPL title win in 2025.

In T20s, Karthik has played 412 matches, scoring 7,437 runs at a strike rate of 136.66, including 35 fifties. For India, he has 686 runs in 60 T20 internationals at a strike rate of 142.61.

At Sharjah Warriorz, Karthik will join forces with RCB teammate Tim David and last season’s champion Sikandar Raza, alongside captain Tim Southee, Johnson Charles, Tom Kohler-Cadmore, and Saurabh Netravalkar.
