High political drama was seen in Bhopal on Thursday. Newly elected Congress MLA Phool Singh Baraiya left for Raj Bhavan to blacken his face. Former Chief Minister Digvijay Singh stopped him on the way and did not allow him to blacken his face.
Digvijay Singh fulfilled his promise by applying black tilak to Baraiya. Two days ago, Baraiya had announced that he would blacken his face in front of the Raj Bhavan on December 7 at 2 pm. After which the capital police were already on alert. The police had made preparations to stop Baraiya by barricading in front of Roshanpura intersection. The road leading to Raj Bhavan was also closed. Baraiya’s program organized to publicly blacken the face turned into a protest against EVMs. People were walking with placards in their hands against EVMs. During the demonstration, EVM posters were blackened. Former Chief Minister Digvijay Singh said that Congress has won in the ballot paper, whereas Congress has lost in EVM. Therefore, the real face of EVMs will be blackened. Baraiya’s face should not be black but we are true to our word, hence we honor him by applying Tilak. Baraiya said that EVMs have looted the government.
Snakes also died and the sticks also did not break
BJP’s state media in-charge Ashish Agarwal said that by blackening his face, Phool Singh Baraiya has indirectly beaten the drum of Kamal Nath ji’s negative leadership in the entire country. This is called that the snakes die and the sticks do not break. He said that under the influence of Digvijay Singh’s conspiracy, Phool Singh Baraiya exposed the incompetence of his leadership on the national stage by blackening himself on the crushing defeat of Congress. Till now only leaders like Digvijay Singh and Arun Yadav were busy in managing Kamal Nath ji, now today Phoolsingh Baraiya has entered that group with great enthusiasm.
