Noida, Feb 2 (UNI) Haryana Thunders’ young wrestler Kajal Dhouchak, who scored a crucial victory against European championAnastasia Alpyeyeva in the Pro wrestling League final on Sunday night said that did not feel any pressure going into the bout and could have done even better.
Kajal, the winner of the gold medal at the u23 world championships (2025) was up against Anastasia a winner of 2025 European wrestling championships in the woman’s 76 kg bout.
After a cautious start by both fighters in round 2 the contest opened up as kajal was able to secure her opponent’s back.
Kajal won the contest 3-1 the power minute Speaking to UNI after the match Kajal said “I did not feel any pressure playing against Anastasia and I think I could have done even better, my coaches had told me to keep calm and be patient that is what I tried to implement in the game.”
She added that the Haryana thunders squad was determined and confident going into the final “we had played very well throughout the tournament and were determined to win today,”
When asked what she and her compatriots learnt from foreign wrestling greats like Yui Susaki and Iryna Koliadenko who what part of the Haryana thunder squad she said “what is remarkable about these big players is their focus on discipline, and the emphasis that day have on team spirit.”
She spoke about her future tournaments “right now will start training for the senior Asian championships and after that the Asian Games trials”. Kajal added that she will be working to improve her attacking game so as to better herself.
