Bhopal: The prompt, courageous and humane action of Dial 112 personnel has once again demonstrated that the emergency response service acts as a vital lifeline for citizens in times of crisis. A 70-year-old man, found in a critically injured condition, was rushed to hospital in time by the Dial 112 team, thereby saving his life and setting an example of compassion and duty.

The injured man, identified as Kedarnath Dhuriya (70), was unable to move independently. Following a family dispute, his own son allegedly attacked him with a stone while under the influence of alcohol, striking him on the head. The elderly man collapsed to the ground with serious injuries. Owing to the son’s aggressive behaviour and abusive language, residents of the locality were reluctant to intervene or offer assistance, leaving the situation extremely grave and sensitive.

Upon receiving information, the Dial 112 First Response Vehicle (FRV) reached the spot without delay. Constable Rajkaran Sahu (135) and pilot Sandeep Rajak quickly assessed the delicate situation and immediately initiated rescue efforts. The injured septuagenarian was carefully lifted into the vehicle and transported to Ajaygarh Hospital, where timely medical treatment ensured that his life was saved.

Under the ‘Dial 112 Heroes’ series, the incident conveys a clear message that the Madhya Pradesh Police remain steadfast in their commitment to protecting, serving and safeguarding the lives of citizens with dedication, sensitivity and resolve in every circumstance.
