Bhopal: Prompt action, compassion and alertness displayed by personnel of Madhya Pradesh Police helped reunite two young children with their parents in Sagar district. The incident occurred within the Motinagar police station limits, where Dial-112 responders ensured the safe return of two girls aged approximately one and three years who were found wandering unattended on a road.
On 13 February 2026, the State-level Dial-112 Control Room in Bhopal received information regarding the children. An FRV vehicle stationed in Motinagar was immediately dispatched to the spot. Constable Abhay Vinodiya and pilot Aniket Dubey took the toddlers into protective custody and engaged with them patiently and sensitively. During the interaction, the three-year-old was able to share her family name, providing a crucial lead.
Acting swiftly, the team conducted enquiries in the surrounding locality and traced the parents. It emerged that the children had been separated after their mother briefly returned to retrieve a purse left behind in an auto-rickshaw.
Following due verification, the girls were safely handed over to their relieved parents, underscoring the humane face of the State police force.
