Bhopal: Dial-112 once again demonstrated that it is not merely an emergency response service but a compassionate safeguard for citizens, particularly children and women. In Indore district, prompt action by Dial-112 personnel ensured that two young girls who had strayed from home were safely reunited with their family.
On 24 February, the state-level police control room in Bhopal received information that two minor girls had been found near Central Warehouse under Aerodrome police station limits in Indore. The caller reported that the children had lost their way and required assistance. A Dial-112 First Response Vehicle was immediately dispatched.
On reaching the spot, the team took the girls, dressed in school uniform, into protective care. The officers contacted the concerned school to trace their guardians. After due identification and verification, the girls were safely handed over to their relieved parents, who expressed heartfelt gratitude for the swift and humane response.
