Bhopal: The Dial-112 emergency response service has once again demonstrated that it is not merely a rapid response mechanism but a dependable life-saving system backed by trained human intervention. In Dewas district, Dial-112 personnel saved the life of a man who suffered a sudden cardiac arrest by administering timely CPR.
On 24 February 2026, the State-Level Police Control Room in Bhopal received information that a man had collapsed near Sharma Ji Petrol Pump in village Kalma under Tokk Khurd police station limits. Recognising the seriousness of the situation, the nearest Dial-112 First Response Vehicle was immediately dispatched.
Upon arrival, Head Constable Rakesh Damor and pilot Yashwant Patel found the man unconscious. Without wasting time, they began cardiopulmonary resuscitation. After several minutes of sustained and precise CPR, the victim regained consciousness. He was then shifted to Dewas District Hospital for further treatment.
Family members expressed gratitude, praising the team’s promptness, training and professional competence, which proved crucial in saving a life.
