‘Dhurandhar’ set for Netflix release after crossing Rs 1,000 crore at Box Office

New Delhi, Jan 27 (UNI) Ranveer Singh-starrer ‘Dhurandhar’ is all set for its digital debut on Netflix on Friday, January 30, following a record-breaking theatrical run.

The film, which premiered on December 5, has reportedly crossed the Rs 1,000 crore gross mark at the Indian box office in just 53 days, making it a landmark success.

Box office estimates on Sacnilk show that the film, now in its eighth week, earned over Rs 1 crore over the weekend, holding strong against the new war drama ‘Border 2’, which grossed Rs 180 crore over the Republic Day weekend.

‘Dhurandhar’ has become the first Indian film to surpass Rs 1,000 crore net from a single-language (Hindi) release, a feat previously achieved only by films like ‘Baahubali 2: The Conclusion,’ ‘KGF: Chapter 2’, and ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’, all of which had multi-language releases.

With the film now headed for Netflix, fans are also gearing up for the sequel, ‘Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge’, slated for a grand theatrical release on March 19, 2026.

The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has cleared multiple teaser cuts for the sequel: Teaser 1A received a U/A 16 certificate with a runtime of 1 minute 9.6 seconds, while Teaser 2 and Teaser 2A were both rated A (Adults Only), with runtimes of 1 minute 48 seconds and 1 minute 9.6 seconds respectively.

With its theatrical record secured and the OTT release imminent, Dhurandhar continues to dominate the box office while building anticipation for its upcoming sequel.
