Dhurandhar crosses Rs 100 crore in weekend, Ranveer Singh shines

New Delhi, Dec 8 (UNI) Bollywood star Ranveer Singh’s film, Dhurandhar, has grossed over the Rs 100 crore mark in box office collections in its opening weekend.

Directed by Aditya Dhar, the movie marks Singh’s first A-rated film, receiving widespread acclaim, particularly for Akshaye Khanna’s performance.

According to industry tracker Sacnilk, Dhurandhar earned Rs 43 crore net on Day 3, its highest single-day collection so far. The film had an opening day business of Rs 28 crore net, followed by a 14.29 per cent jump on Saturday with Rs 32 crore.

Sunday saw the biggest surge, a 34.38 per cent increase, bringing the total domestic net collection to Rs 103 crore by the third day.

The Ranveer Singh-starrer witnessed impressive occupancy on its first Sunday, with an overall 53.47 per cent occupancy. Morning shows had 27.28 percent, which rose to 61.55 per cent in the afternoon. Evening shows recorded the highest turnout at 70.07 per cent, while night shows saw a slight dip at 54.97 per cent.

The film has also made its mark internationally, earning Rs 21 crore from overseas markets, bringing the worldwide total to Rs 144.6 crore. Its India gross collection stands at Rs 123.6 crore on Day 3.

Directed, written, and co-produced by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar draws inspiration from real-life geopolitical conflicts and intelligence operations involving India’s R&AW.

The story explores the underworld nexus of gangs and syndicates operating in Karachi’s Lyari region.
