DGP Eleven cricket team wins four tournaments

Bhopal: The DGP Eleven cricket team of the Madhya Pradesh Police has achieved a notable sporting feat by winning four major cricket tournaments during the current season. The players of the team called on Director General of Police Kailash Makwana at the Police Headquarters in Bhopal to mark the achievement.

Congratulating the players, Makwana praised their discipline, team spirit and dedication towards the game. He said officers and personnel of the Madhya Pradesh Police were actively participating in sports activities alongside their professional duties, which brought pride to the organisation. He encouraged the team to maintain the same level of performance in future competitions.

During the season, the team won the Hamidia Cup T-10 Cricket Tournament by defeating the Guilt Free team in the final, where Vishal Bhadauria was named Man of the Final. It also clinched the 5th Hukum Singh Thakur Memorial Departmental Cricket Tournament, defeating the Municipal Commissioner’s Eleven, with Arun Singh taking four wickets.

The team further won the 18th Challenger Trophy and the 31st Inter-Press Cricket Tournament, underlining the strong sporting culture within the police force.
