Bhopal: The annual conference of the Retired Gazetted Police Officers’ Association, Indore, was held on March 15 at the Police Officers’ Mess in Indore, with Madhya Pradesh Director General of Police Kailash Makwana attending as the chief guest. Notably, it was the first time in nearly six years that a serving DGP participated in the conference. The last such participation was by the then DGP V. K. Singh.
Addressing the gathering, Kailash Makwana highlighted several achievements of the Madhya Pradesh Police and shared details of upcoming operational plans. Recalling his earlier postings as SP Dantewada and SP Bastar, he praised the professional work style of S. K. Das, who served as IG Bhilai Zone at that time.
During the programme, the DGP honoured former DGP N. K. Tripathi and several retired officers who completed 75 years of age in 2025.
Association president Anil Kumar congratulated the DGP for effective action against the Naxal problem. Vice-president Madan Rane urged expansion of CGHS facilities for retired officers.
The conference concluded with a vote of thanks by D. S. Sengar. At the request of attendees, the DGP also sang a few lines of a song, adding a memorable touch to the event.
