- Garba nights light up city with enthusiastic participation
Bhopal: On the fourth day of Navratri, thousands of devotees across Bhopal came together to offer prayers to Goddess Kushmanda, believed to be the creator of the universe who brought light to the cosmic darkness. The city’s temples and Durga pandals witnessed a surge in devotional fervor on Thursday as people sought the goddess’s blessings for energy, health, and prosperity.
According to Hindu tradition, Kushmanda is associated with the sun and the cosmic egg, symbolizing the origin of life and the dispeller of ignorance. In her honor, many worshippers wore orange — a color that represents warmth, energy, and divine radiance.
Devotees gathered at prominent temples like Gufa Mandir and Mata Mandir from early morning, participating in rituals that included ghee aartis, offerings of red flowers, kumkum, and sacred chants.
