Rewa, Madhya Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla inaugurated a newly constructed 33/11 kV power substation in Rewa, built at a cost of Rs 2.63 crore. Commending the department for completing the project ahead of schedule, he emphasized that Rewa will not lag behind in any sector and is poised to become a leading district in the state’s development map.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony held at the PTS Chowk, Shukla outlined the government’s commitment to infrastructure expansion in the region. He highlighted ongoing efforts to ensure clean water supply, improved electricity access, and road widening as development priorities.
“Our vision is to place Rewa among the major cities of Madhya Pradesh, making it a model for others. Every rupee allocated for national and state development must also benefit Rewa,” Shukla stated. He credited the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav for accelerating the pace of growth across the state.
The event also featured tree plantation by the Deputy CM and speeches by local leaders, including Municipal Corporation President Venkatesh Pandey. Superintendent Engineer Brijesh Kumar Shukla presented the technical report, while several prominent citizens and power department officials were present.
Shukla reaffirmed that both infrastructure upgrades and public welfare projects will continue to be prioritized in the region.
