Departure of Mamata govt from W Bengal is certain, people have decided to bring change: Rekha Gupta

New Delhi, Feb 22 (UNI) Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Sunday hit out at the present TMC government in West Bengal, alleging that the politics of terror, goondaism, greed, and appeasement is going to end in the state, with an imminent change of rule in the state after the forthcoming elections.

“The departure of the Mamata government is certain,” said Gupta, who is currently on a visit to the state said.

Speaking to the reporters, she squarely blamed the TMC government and the CM Mamata Banerjee for the violence, indiscriminate attack on women and poor law and order condition in the state. The public of West Bengal has now decided to bring in a change, and departure of Mamata Banerjee government is certain, she added.

Harping on the infiltration issue, the Delhi CM said that the TMC would not be dable to hide behind the infiltrators. She said that the old tactics of the Trinamool Congress wouldn’t work anymore and they will no longer be able to suppress the voice of the people.

In Kolkata, Rekha Gupta attended the BJP Women’s Conference and stated that the yearning for change was quite evident among the mothers and sisters of the State. “The yearning for change in their eyes and the unwavering resolve in their hearts clearly conveyed the message that Bengal will no longer tolerate injustice,” Gupta added.

She stated that it was extremely unfortunate that in the very Bengal which made ‘Shakti’ worship world-famous through its devotion and faith, the daughters of that same land are presently compelled to struggle for honour and security.

Gupta alleged that the long-standing oppressive regime has pushed Bengal’s feminine power toward insecurity and neglect.

Sharpening her attack, Delhi CM alleged that the appeasement and misgovernance of the current government in West Bengal have shattered the trust of mothers and sisters.

Delhi CM visited the sacred Kalighat temple in Kolkata and offered prayers. In a social media post, she said: “I was fortunate to receive the divine blessings of Maa Kali in the revered Kalighat temple of Kolkata.”

In Kalighat, with every chant of “Jai Maa Kali,” one feels the pulse of Bengal’s unwavering devotion and self-pride, Rekha Gupta said.

“Her blessings grant us the strength to build a system where appeasement does not prevail, but justice does where fear does not reign, but trust does where politics does not dominate, but public service is paramount,” she added.
