Dense fog in Delhi triggers flight delay warning by IndiGo, Air India

New Delhi, Dec 15 (UNI) Dense fog over Delhi-NCR on Monday morning led to a sharp drop in visibility at Palam airport, prompting airlines including IndiGo and Air India to warn passengers of potential flight delays.
Visibility at Palam fell to 100 metres around 4:30 am IST and is expected to reduce further to 50 metres, with light westerly winds of 5–7 kmph, according to weather updates. The low-visibility conditions are likely to impact flight operations, particularly during early morning hours.
IndiGo and Air India have shared statement on X, saying that they are closely monitoring the situation and advised passengers to stay updated on their flight status through official websites and mobile applications. Airlines also assured travellers that safety remains the top priority and ground teams are on standby to assist passengers amid possible disruptions.
Passengers have been requested to plan their travel accordingly as weather conditions remain challenging.
