New Delhi, Mar 5 (UNI) Delhi Traffic Police carried out a strict special drive during the Holi festival to ensure road safety in the national capital. A total of 4,929 challans were issued, including 1,204 for drunk driving and 3,725 for other traffic rule violations.
Range-wise, Western Range recorded 969 challans, Northern Range 760, Eastern Range 854, Southern Range 857, and Central Range 884 during the enforcement drive.
Satish Golchha, the Delhi Police Commissioner, also reviewed security and law and order arrangements across the city. He interacted with police personnel and distributed sweets, boosting morale and the festive spirit. A senior police official said the Delhi Police remains committed to ensuring a safe, secure, and joyful Holi for all residents of the capital.
