New Delhi, Jan 14 (UNI) Delhi government on Sunday announced the reopening of all schools in the National Capital from Monday.
The Directorate of Education of Delhi Government advised the schools to commence classes at 9 am and avoid conducting classes beyond 5 pm due to prevailing foggy conditions.
“All students of Delhi Government, Government Aided and Recognized Private Schools including Nursery, KG and Primary classes shall join back in physical mode at their respective schools with effect from 15 January,” it said in its circular.
“However, taking precaution in view of the prevailing foggy conditions, no school (including double shift schools) will start before 9 am and have classes beyond 5 pm till further directions,” it said.
All teaching and non teaching staff shall report for duty as usual.
The Directorate further directed the Head of Schools (HoSs) to inform all the Students, Parents and Staff by today itself through SMS, Phone Calls, SMC and other suitable means of communication.
Delhi Education Minister Atishi Marlena, on January 7, announced that amid prevailing cold wave conditions in the national capital, the Delhi government has extended the winter vacations from nursery to class 5 till January 12.
