New Delhi, Aug 25 (UNI) In a latest update in connection with the attack on Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, the Delhi Police have made the Second arrest in the matter.
The accused identified as Tahseen Sayed was arrested from Rajkot.
According to source Rajesh was continuously in contact with Tahseen and that Tahseen also provided financial help to Rajesh.
Now police will seek his custodial remand to confront him with Rajeshbhai.
Meanwhile, The responsibility for the security of Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has been handed back to the Delhi Police.
The Centre has withdrawn the ‘Z’ category security of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) provided to Chief Minister Rekha Gupta.
The order to enhance CRPF security was to be formally issued by the Centre. However, the plan was changed, and orders were issued to withdraw the security.
The Delhi Police has been asked to increase the number of security personnel.
Rajeshbhai who attacked the Delhi CM is currently in five days of custodial remand. Delhi police are trying to ascertain the true motive behind the attack.
Rekha Gupta was attacked by a man during her daily Jan Sunwai (public hearing) at her official residence on August 20.
