Delhi Police arrest suspected gangster linked to firing at Kapil Sharma’s Canadian Restaurant

New Delhi, Nov 28 (UNI) Delhi Police on Friday arrested a suspected gangster allegedly involved in the shooting incident at comedian Kapil Sharma’s restaurant in Canada, an official said.

The suspect, Bandhu Man Singh, is reportedly a close associate of Canada-based gangster Goldy Dhillon, who is believed to be involved in multiple extortion rackets targeting businessmen and other high-profile individuals abroad.

“Singh had been coordinating with Dhillon’s network and was part of a larger conspiracy to target the popular artist’s restaurant as an act of intimidation,” police official said at a press conference .

“A Chinese-made pistol, along with several cartridges, was recovered from his possession. His role in the conspiracy, as well as his connections with overseas operatives, is still under investigation,” the officer said.

Officials said that further investigation is underway to determine gang’s activities in India and abroad.
