New Delhi, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has condoled the death of six people who died after a fire broke out in a residential building in South East Delhi’s Zakia Nagar, near Jamia Milia Islamia University on Tuesday, and said the Delhi government will provide all the help to the affected families.
Taking to micro-blogging site Twitter, Mr Kejriwal said, ‘Shocked to know about the loss of lives in Zakir Nagar fire. I am inspecting the incident spot & Del govt will provide all help to affected families. Cause of fire will be probed.’
The fire which broke out at 0230 hrs, had started from the parking area of the residential building. Exact cause of the blaze is yet to be known, an official of fire department said. Six people, including two children, died while 10 others injured in the incident. The injured were rushed to Holy Family hospital.
