New Delhi, (UNI) A Delhi court issued fresh notice to BJP MP Bansuri Swaraj in a case filed by Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and MLA Satyendar Jain and directed the complainant to file process fee during the day.
Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate (ACJM) Neha Mittal after hearing the case titled “Satyender Kumar Jain Vs. Bansuri Swaraj & Anr” said, ” As per a report, notice could not be issued to the proposed accused as PF was not filed in terms of previous order.
In view of that, he ordered that notice be issued to the accused on the filing of PF and a copy of the complaint. The judge directed the complainant is directed to file PF during the course of the day itself, ” the court said.
The court earlier on the last date of hearing said, “Vide separate order of even date, this court has opined that notice to the proposed accused as per proviso to Section 223(1) BNSS shall be issued before recording the statement of the complainant and other witnesses under Section 223 BNSS”.
In this matter, the complainant has filed a complaint under sections 210(1) and 223 of Bhartiya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita and alleged that Bansuri Swaraj made derogatory statements against him during a television interview on October 5, 2023, which was broadcast to a wide audience.
He alleged that the statements were intended to tarnish his reputation and gain undue political advantage.
