New Delhi, Mar 3 (UNI) A court here on Monday directed Congress leader Sandeep Dikshit to supply documents to suspected accused — former Delhi chief minister Atishi Marlena and AAP MP Sanjay Singh — in a defamation case.
Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate (ACJM) Paras Dalal, after hearing the matter, said,”The proposed accused side submits that the documents filed along with the application on January 16, 2025, by the complainant side has not been supplied to them. Therefore, the complainant side supply the same. Be fixed for compliance / consideration on March 12, 2025, at 1030 am.”
Complainant Sandeep Dikshit has filed a complaint under section 223 of BNSS for offences under section 356 read with 3(5) of BNS against the accused in the court, alleging that the two accused have made a defamatory allegation during their press conference on December 26, 2024.
The accused persons alleged that the complainant had received crores of rupees through collusion with an opposition political party and also had his election campaign for the 2023 Delhi Assembly election funded by the opposition political party.
Following which, the complainant has stated that vide the allegation of the accused persons, his image has been tarnished and defamed in the media.
