Ayodhya, Aug 26 (UNI) The Ayodhya district administration today set the time limit for preparations for the Deepotsav celebrations in Ayodhya to be held on October 19 next.
All the construction work going on has to be completed in the month of September at any cost.
In two separate meetings related to Deepotsav and construction works chaired by District Magistrate Nikhil T Funde, the timeline of September 30 has been fixed for preparations.
District Magistrate Nikhil T Funde said that for Deepotsav 2025, all the implementing departments / institutions should nominate nodal officers for the works and all the concerned departments should make a detailed action plan in the next three days and ensure to make it available to the Additional District Magistrate Nagar / Mela Adhikari.
He directed the implementing agencies doing construction work at Deepotsav site including Ram Ki Paadi to complete the construction work by September 30 and ensure that the construction materials are removed from the site.
While directing the concerned departments, DM said that the departments in which the tender process is to be done should start it as soon as possible and complete it on time, and the works which are to be done jointly by several departments, all the departments should establish mutual coordination and complete the Deepotsav safely.
Giving information about the date-wise details of Deepotsav 2025 in the meeting, Additional District Magistrate City/Fair Officer Yoganand Pandey said that Govast Dwadashi is on October 17, Dhan Trayodashi on October 18, Narak Chaturdashi/Chhoti Diwali (main Deepotsav program) on October 19, and the festival of Deepawali is on October 20.
In the meeting, in relation to various programs to be organized on the occasion of Deepotsav such as the program to be organized in Saket Mahavidyalaya (tableau and procession), Ram Katha Park program, Saryu Aarti, Ram Ki Paidi program, the officials of the concerned departments Culture, Information, Tourism, Municipal Corporation, Transport, Garden, Electricity, Irrigation, Public Works Department, Medical etc. presented the details of the preparations related to the works and responsibilities related to their respective departments to conduct Deepotsav in accordance with the action plan.
After the meeting of Deepotsav Mela 2025, the District Magistrate convened a meeting to conduct Parikrama / Kartik Purnima Mela 2025 safely and said that all the concerned departments should prepare and submit the action plan within 5 days.
Along with this, the working agencies working on the Parikrama Marg were directed that the work of the roads and street lights for lighting of the Parikrama Marg must be completed by October 15, so that the devotees do not face any inconvenience in walking.
The Additional District Magistrate Nagar informed that Chaudah Kosi Parikrama / Akshay Navami will be celebrated on October 30, Panchkosi Parikrama / Ekadashi on November 1,and Kartik Purnima Snan / Guru Nanak Jayanti on November 5.
