Tehran, Mar 1 (UNI/SPUTNIK) The death toll of elementary schoolchildren as a result of the attack on Minab district in Hormozgan province in southern Iran has increased to 148, and another 95 are injured, the Mizan news agency reported on Sunday, citing local authorities.
On Saturday, the United States and Israel launched a series of strikes on Iranian targets, including Tehran, causing damage and civilian casualties. Iran launched retaliatory missile strikes on Israeli territory, as well as on US military infrastructure in West Asia.
On Saturday, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei said that up to 160 people could have died as a result of a strike on a school in southern Iran.
